jay + jane | portsea hotel | mornington peninsula melbourne wedding

I first met Jay & Jane a little over twelve months ago, to take photographs of their sweet little newborn son, Kai. It turned out we had gone to high school together, but being a big school (and me a newbie from Tasmania) we didn’t remember each other. Shortly after Kai’s session they were engaged, and asked me to capture the day. I was so excited!

They were married at the Portsea Hotel over looking the crystal blue ocean, on a warm afternoon. It was such a special day, and I was moved to tears on a few occasions. The highlight would have to be their bridal waltz. It started slow and romantic to ‘At Last’ by Etta James but halfway through the music cut out, and ‘Party Roack Anthem’  started playing as one of the groomsmen with a box on his head moved onto the dance floor. What followed was a fantastic choreographed dance that had all the guest laughing and cheering. So.Much.Fun!
