2017 AIPP VIC Epson Professional Photography Awards
This year I faced my fears and entered the Victorian Professional Photography Awards, run by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) for the first time. I initially wasn’t going to enter, but on the morning of the cut off date I changed my mind. Thanks to the encouragement and advice of a few photographer friends, I quickly pulled together 7 images and 90 minutes later I had submitted them and rushed off to do the school pick up. Madness!
I went to the judging with very low expectations of how my prints would go. Most people take the time to carefully select which images to enter, and refine them before submission. The quality of work entered is absolutely phenomenal!
I am thrilled to announce that 3 of my images recieved a final score of 82, giving them a silver award! Two other images scored 79 – so close! I have now qualified for the National APPA‘s in August – Eeek!!
Huge shout out to Brent and the team at Photomart who managed to get my beautifully printed images back in such a short time for the judging.
