tell me more
After photographing over 200 weddings in the last decade, I have learned that the photographs my clients love most are the images that capture authentic moments. The real 'throw-your-head-back' laughs, the crazy dance offs, the sincere smiles and heartfult hugs.
Those photographs are so powerful; they transport you back to that moment. You feel those feels again.

your questions answered
Yes! I work very hard to make sure people are comfortable and relaxed around me. If I am able to blend in, everyone can act naturally and I am able to capture great candid photographs. I work with two cameras, giving me the flexibility of using different lenses during the same moments for variation. I offer the option of adding a second photographer to your package – some people choose to do this if it's logistically difficult for me to get to cover the bride and groom preparations. If this is a concern, I discuss it when I meet with my clients.
Nobody likes posing! Unless, of course it is for a sneaky (perfectly angled!) selfie with friends. I like to photograph the day as it unfolds, usually blending in with everyone else, capturing genuine moments. I offer gentle direction during the bridal party photographs to make sure I get you looking your best, but I promise that it is relaxed and fun.
I use two mirrorless Canon cameras, the R5 + R6, with a range of professional Canon L series lenses. I also bring along flash gear, but I prefer working with natural and ambient light when possible, so they often stay in my bag until the sun goes down.
If it rains, it rains! Having a wet weather back up location for an outdoor ceremony is always a good idea, but when it's time for photographs I go with whatever you are comfortable doing. Most of my brides hitch up their gowns and have a giggle while we dart under trees for shelter. Wet days are a beautiful backdrop for photographs; everything glistens in the soft overcast light.
I don’t put a limit on how many photos I include on your USB. I take unlimited exposures throughout the day, but as a guide clients who choose full day coverage receive an average of 700+ images.
I usually take 2000+ images at every wedding. Many are test shots or duplicates in case you blink, I misjudge the exposure or miss the focus. Occasionally, I unintentionally take a really unflattering photo - don't worry, it even happens to Beyonce! I only select the best images to enhance and include on your USB.
I will send a small selection of edited sneak peek images within 48 hours of your wedding day. You can expect to receive the rest of your images within 4-6 weeks. Once they're ready, I load your images to a private gallery for you to view and download right away.
I only accept a maximum of 20 wedding bookings during peak wedding season, so unfortunately I can’t reserve dates until an official booking is made. If you’re ready to book (Hooray!) I require a $800 booking fee (which is deducted from your package total) along with a completed wedding contract, to secure your date.
I have photographed weddings all over the Mornington Peninsula, Yarra Valley and Greater Melbourne area. I've even venutred out to photograph weddings on the Bellarine Peninsula, Phillip Island, Tasmania and country Victoria.
Some of my most memorable weddings have been in someones backyard or rural property, but here is a list of my favourite venues: Tanglewood Estate, Stillwater at Crittenden, Panton Vineyard, Polperro, Port Phillip Estate, Stones of the Yarra Valley, Zonzo Estate, Kilara Estate, Coombe Yarra Valley, The Baths Sorrento, Luminaire, Epicurean at Red Hill, Alatonero, Abbotsford Convent, Mantons Creek, Max's Restaurant at Red Hill, Encore St Kilda, The Briars at Mount Martha, Morning Star Estate, All Smiles Sorrento, Montsalvat, Vue on Halcyon, Campbell Point House, Farm Vigano and Two Ton Max.
Absolutely! I have photographed a few same sex couples, and approach it no differently than any other portrait session. Love is love, and I love to photograph love. (Say that three times fast!)
